JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

 

The HR Generalist is responsible for daily functions of HR including recruitment, employee onboarding, training, benefits administration, and employee relations.  In addition, they will be a component to the retention of employees and be responsible for building relationships and acting as a servant leader.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants
  • Plays a key role in benefit administration including employee enrollment, new hire benefit meetings, and monthly benefit audits.  Assists in annual open enrollments and benefit plan design.
  • Manages the onboarding of Redline employees.
  • Plays an active role in the training of hourly and salaried employees, including development of training programs and innovative methods to keep employee engaged, motivated and learning.
  • Promotes Redline Plastics in the community by participating and leading various events as well as participating in community boards and/or committees.
  • Builds relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and demonstrate servant leadership.
  • Respond to employee requests, questions, and concerns regarding compensation, benefits, company policy, FMLA, etc.

PREFERRED AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in relevant field preferred

Experience and/or Training:   3 years in a manufacturing environment

Licenses/Certificates: No requirements

Technology/Computer Equipment: Strong in all Microsoft applications

Communication: The ability to read, speak, and comprehend English is required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The working environment for this position is a standard office environment along with a large portion of time spent on the plant floor.  The plant environment is partially climate controlled and may include on occasion, exposure to heat, cold, noise and odors. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas.
