Redline Plastics: Our Journey to the Top 20 Plastics News North American Rotomolders
When Redline Plastics of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, was founded in 2018, few could have predicted the rapid ascent it would make in the North American rotational molding industry. Starting from 100th place, Redline has steadily climbed the ranks, and in 2023, we made a monumental leap to 19th place among 104 companies. Achieving a top 20 ranking in such a competitive field is nothing short of incredible.
A Journey of Steady Ascent
Our journey began when the Webster family made a strategic decision to sell the Dowco Marine division. This move allowed us to focus on the powersports and plastics businesses under the new identity of Redline Plastics. From day one, our team has been dedicated to excellence, innovation, and growth, and our efforts have paid off in spades.
In 2016, when we were still known as Dowco Plastics, we entered the ranking of North American rotational molders at the 100th position. By 2017, we had made a modest move to 95th place. However, it was in 2018, following our rebranding to Redline Plastics of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, that we began our steady ascent in the industry.
From our initial ranking of 79th place in 2018, we have consistently climbed the ranks. By 2019, we had moved up to 75th place, and in 2020, we reached 64th place. Our momentum continued in 2021 as we climbed to 56th place. The year 2022 marked another significant milestone as we secured the 40th position. However, it was last year that we achieved a monster climb, leaping 20 places to rank 19th among North American rotational molders. This monumental climb underscores the hard work and commitment of everyone at Redline Plastics.
The Backbone of Success
Nick Murray, Redline President, often emphasizes the importance of our team in achieving this success. “We could not have done this without the backbone of the Redline company,” he says. Indeed, it is our dedicated employees, innovative processes, and unwavering focus on quality that have driven our growth and success.
Commitment to Quality and Innovation
Our success story is built on several key factors. First and foremost, our team is our greatest asset. From the manufacturing floor to the management office, everyone plays a crucial role in our achievements. We have fostered a unique ‘How we Redline’ culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, which has propelled us forward year after year.
Innovation has been at the heart of our growth. We continuously invest in state-of-the-art technology and processes to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has also set us apart from the competition. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch products that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Another critical factor in our success is our adaptability. The rotational molding industry is ever-evolving, and we have embraced change with open arms. Whether it’s adopting new manufacturing techniques or exploring new markets, we are always ready to pivot and adapt to the demands of the industry.
Looking Ahead
Our journey to the top 20 is also a testament to our resilience. Like any business, we have faced our share of challenges. However, our team’s unwavering determination and positive attitude have helped us overcome obstacles and emerge stronger.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are also looking ahead. Our goal is not just to maintain our position but to continue climbing the ranks.
To everyone who has been part of our journey – our employees, customers, and partners – thank you. Your support and trust have been instrumental in our success. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing this incredible journey together.
Our CEO, Chuck Webster, aptly puts it, “Our rise in the industry is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of the entire Redline team. We have built something truly remarkable, and I am excited for what the future holds.”
